Comic books, comic strips and all kinds of superheroes are getting set up for their own movie adaptations lately, but who knows how many of them will actually reach the big screen. But Flash Gordon is heading toward the front of the pack, now that Sony has signed up two writers to write a screenplay for the new movie.
Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless-- what a name!-- are also writing Cobalt 60 for Zack Snyder, and will team up for the Flash adaptation, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie will be live-action, somehow, despite the fact that it's about a polo player having adventures in space. I'm not really sure how this is going to work, but now it's looking a lot more likely we'll get a look at it soon.
