Lois isn't Lost

the future, I'm sure of itWho will be playing Lois Lane? Who among you really cares? Everyone but me I suppose. Well here’s the latest roundup of Lois Lane casting rumors then.

The website Superman-V.com is reporting that CinemaBlend.com’s personal favorite for the role of Lois, Evangeline Lilly, is out of the running for the part due to her firm commitment to the kickass hit show “Lost”. Superman-V is a credible source because they have a banner with a picture of Superman on it and also they own a domain that references the upcoming movie. In a way I’m happy, since at this point the continued greatness of “Lost” is a lot more important than another Superman movie.

So then who is still in the running? A random poll of Superman sites started by people who we don’t have any reason to believe tells me that in the running is Kate Bosworth, Elisha Cuthbert, and Claire Danes. Claire Danes we’ve been hearing for awhile, but Bosworth and Cuthbert are new. They are also horribly wrong, being too blonde. Sure, you can throw on some dye… or better yet just hide their usual bottles, but neither of them really has that plucky brunette look. Danes is at least frequently dark-haired, even if she looks tragically fragile. Superman-V claims that Singer is having a tough time convincing people to take the job, since they’re afraid of becoming typecast, ruining their careers, going insane and living under a porch like Margot Kidder. Again, keep in mind how credible Superman-V is… only a notch less credible than us.

The best part about putting together this story is finding pictures of Lois Lane hopefuls. I’ve done that, and posted them below, so that you can all take your time to ogle without my nasty blathering getting n the way. Scroll down to the bottom of this story to see clockwise Evangeline Lilly, Kate Bosworth, Elisha Cuthbert, and Claire Danes.
