Lord Of The Dance Finally Going 3D

Who needs Transformers in 3D when you can have Michael Flatley and his team of Irish jiggers coming at you in not one, not two, but all three dimensions?! This may be the most exciting news we’ve ever been able to announce in the realm of 3D.

Deadline is reporting that the popular dance troupe is filming a 3D version of their routine for a limited stateside St. Patrick’s day release. That’s exactly what we need, a bunch of drunk Irish American ruining a bunch of theaters by spilling green beer everywhere. JK, guys, JK.

Lord of the Dance has been incredibly successful worldwide, having been seen by nearly 60 million people in 60 countries. Flatley says this video is a step towards getting his show seen by people who either can’t afford to go or who just live too far away to make a trip. It’s a good idea, and hey, I’d watch Lord of the Dance in 3D once. Why not?
