Rambo Bore

You got to hand it to Hollywood. Just when you think the most inane idea has been greenlit, you hear about another sequel in the works. A fourth to be exactly. Sadly, it appears that Rambo IV has been resurrected from the ashes.

A source has sent info to Cinescape that Dimension Films is hoping to begin filming Rambo IV in May or June of 2005 with hopes of coming to theatres in Summer 2006. The big news is who they have in mind for director; John Woo.

Sylvester Stallone is again set to star as John Rambo and he’s rumored to be looking at a $30 million dollar payday. Holy Crap, if anybody pays Stallone that much money to stink up another screen, I’m going throw up. What the heck has he done lately to deserve half that? If I worked at Dimension, I’d soon hire Jean-Claude Van Damme for $3 million and take my chances at the gates.

As with all Stallone films, the plot is the most important thing. (How did I say that with a straight face?) This time around we have some nuclear bombs missing and the President wants John Rambo to find them. Man… that’s deep. Shymalyan must’ve did a re-write.

Throw money down the toilet in The CB Forum.
