I know Xzibit has been doing the acting thing for a while now, leaving his days as host of Pimp My Ride behind, but I still don’t think of him as much beyond the gangsta type. Trying to pretend he’s an FBI Agent for this summer’s X-Files: I Want To Believe is going to be a stretch that requires the movie’s subtitle to describe. I’ll want to believe, but I’m not sure I will.

To be fair, Xzibit is doing a pretty good job of looking like an FBI agent, so it’ll be up to his acting skills to complete the transition. Worst Previews has gotten their hands on a couple of images of Xzibit in costume (and presumably in character) and he doesn’t look half bad… at least not in a static image.

The best thing about these pictures is that there really isn’t anything for Chris Carter or anyone to discredit. They’re just images of the rapper-turned-actor in a federal-looking suit. Of course, that means it doesn’t tell us much about the movie either, but at least we can probably get through the next 24 hours without a statement from Carter clarifying what we’ve seen.
