Valkyrie Extras Sue United Artists![]()
Ever fall off the bed of a truck when you were riding in the back? Or, hell, ever fall off your bike? Turns out you could have gotten $1 million for your pain, so long as you could blame it on a major studio. Deadline Hollywood Daily reports that 11 extras from the set of Valkyrie are suing United Artists, asking for $1 million each due to injuries they received when they fell out of the back of a truck while filming.
They claim that the studio knew the truck was unsafe due to rickety railings, saying they saw it all in an internal company memo. Even though Valkyrie seems to be back on track with its late-2008 release date, this may indicate that all is not well with Tom Cruise's weird Nazi-killing movie. Of course, it may just be 11 dudes trying to get attention and a piece of United Artists before the company goes belly-up, as some cynics expect. Either way, Cruise could probably sell about 20 of Suri's ridiculously expensive dresses and get this whole thing taken care of. |
