After two seasons, viewers have a pretty good idea what to expect from Daredevil: lots of guilt, struggling to balance a dual life, and maybe a hallway fight or two. The character will be getting a new boost of energy thanks to The Defenders, which will team the hero up with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. That's enough reason to watch the show right there, but The Defenders will push Daredevil into some seriously uncharted territory: a brightly lit room. Some new images have surfaced showing Daredevil, in full costume, in broad daylight.

The images, seen here on Twitter, show Charlie Cox in-costume as the superhero Daredevil, who looks like he's waiting on reception in a lobby. The picture is noteworthy because it finds Daredevil suited up mid-day when the character is usually only active at night. The Netflix shows have a reputation for their dark lighting, which makes certain things hard to see, so hopefully, this is a sign that The Defenders is shaking things up. We can't tell if these shots are actually from a scene in Defenders or if this is just Cox waiting in between takes but it's clear that Daredevil has some business to take care of that couldn't wait until nightfall.

This might also be our first shot of the Daredevil costume as it is in The Defenders. Marketing for the show has thus far presented Matt Murdock in his usual beat up work suit, as opposed to his vigilante costume. Likewise, the first teaser for The Defenders showed Murdock with a cloth wrapped around his head in lieu of his actual mask. Everyone else is dressed in street clothes as well, but Daredevil is the only one who has a costume at this point. Hell, he looks more like Iron Fist than Iron Fist does in that teaser.

The Defenders has been years in the making and will feature the first televised team-up between Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Not much is known about the plot but the street level vigilantes will be drawn together to stop a plot from Sigourney Weaver's main villain. The Hand has also been set up in a few of the shows as antagonists as well. It's unknown how many hallway fights there will be if any.

Here's the first teaser for The Defenders in case any missed it the first time around.

The Defenders will be available on Netflix to stream in full on August 18, 2017. For more shows set to air in the upcoming season, check out our summer and Netflix premiere guide.
