Years after Kanye West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, teamed with Glu Mobile to put out her own successful game, it seems Kanye isn’t too far behind. Yesterday, a short teaser was released showcasing a peek at his new video game.

The game is based on one of his songs Only One and shares the same title. The story behind the song is about the death of Kanye West’s mother, Donda. In a previous story from Cinema Blend, it was reported that Kanye West didn’t remember writing his song Only One and claimed his mother had written it through him. He surprised everyone with the teaser trailer during an album release party.

It’s a little confusing as to what the point of the game will be or what the gameplay will be like. The trailer shows his mother, Donda, rising to heaven with wings, along with many other souls rising to heaven.

It disturbs me to think Kanye West is making a video game, but I don’t want to judge something before I know anything about it. If his confusing and psychedelic hours-long speech at the 2015 VMA’s was any indication of the kinds of ideas that ramble through his head, well then I start to judge the seriousness of his video game. If everyone in the world who had money just decided to make a video game one day, where would the video game market really be? Who’s next, Donald Trump? At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me.

But then you have to look at Kim Kardashian’s mobile game and how overwhelmingly successful it was. Then thinking in that direction, maybe Kanye West can do it. My only question is, where is he going to fit in the time of creating a video game when he’s preparing for his big presidential campaign in 2020?
