Sydney Sweeney has made headlines this year for her relationship with Scooter Braun and her world travels. Now, she’s in the news because she’s returned to her hometown with her boyfriend. Not long after the Euphoria star posted about the wildfires in Spokane and advocated for people to donate and support organizations that are helping those impacted, she was seen in the city. However, she’s not the only big name in Eastern Washington. According to sources who spoke to TMZ, her boyfriend, Scooter Braun, who has notably been traveling with her this summer, is there too.
Sweeney has been seen bringing food to firefighters and helping make and give out meals to those who have lost their homes in the fires. According to the outlet, she’s been spotted volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank (which is one of the organizations she asked her fans to donate to), buying groceries, and working at local restaurants.
Along with this report from TMZ, KHQ, a local news outlet in Spokane, posted a video of Sweeney at the Women and Children’s Free Restaurant and Community Kitchen.
It’s also been alleged that, along with volunteering and fundraising, The Housemaid star has made major donations to various relief organizations. In her post about how people can support those impacted by the fires, she also noted that she’s supporting the Innovia Foundation, SpokAnimal, Watch Duty and Second Harvest.
So far, the three wildfires that have burned around Spokane have destroyed over 800 structures and forced 65,000 people to evacuate, per KREM 2. The Anyone But You star candidly explained that her own loved ones have been impacted by all this as well.
As someone who is from Spokane, it’s deeply moving to see the community come together amid this disastrous event. It’s also wonderful to watch Sydney Sweeney shine such a bright spotlight on this issue by both telling her millions of followers about it and literally spending time in the city volunteering and helping where she can.

From opening a festival saloon at Stagecoach for her lingerie brand to working on said brand during her downtime in Australia to attending the NBA Finals in Texas, she’s been very busy. She's truly been all over the world and gone on all sorts of adventures, too, as her Instagram shows her hanging out in the mountains, going bungee jumping in New Zealand, and even practicing her footwork at a soccer game.
Now, she’s travelled back to her hometown to support her family and those who have been impacted by the massive and destructive wildfires in Spokane.
