What Jamie Dornan Was Forced To Do With His Penis During Fifty Shades Of Grey Sex Scenes

We are weeks away from director Sam Taylor-Johnson pulling back the curtain on her steamy adaptation of the ridiculously popular novel Fifty Shades of Grey, and as such, we’re learning a lot about the finished film. We know that it will be rated R (as expected), and will contain graphic nudity (also expected). But who will be the most naked? Leading man Jamie Dornan tries to clarify.

In a new interview with GQ Magazine, Jamie Dornan talked about the graphic, public and borderline uncomfortable nature of filming the various sex scenes in Fifty Shades of Grey. And the discomfort had nothing to do with having your private parts exposed, because Dornan explains that his penis was… well, really, I want him to lay it out for you. He tells the magazine:

Your dignity is intact as much as it's all tucked away in a little flesh-colored bag... As a guy you put all your essentials in a little bag and you tie it up like a little bag of grapes and it's tucked away. It’s quite a peculiar thing to do every day."

Think about that the next time you are feeling jealous about the luxurious life movie stars get to lead. Before the mansions and the sports cars, before the nightclubs and the red carpets, there’s often a scenario where it is your job to tie your junk up in "a little bag" and contain it "like a little bag of grapes." And this is for a movie that’s about S&M! Related note: why didn’t someone on the set of Shame give Michael Fassbender one of those bags?

Jamie Dornan opens up about the S&M practices in Fifty Shades of Grey, as well, explaining to GQ as he defends the community:

If people are into that, they're into that. By the way, if people make such a hoo-hah about the violence against women aspect of it, it's far more common for men to be the submissive. And it's consensual! There's weirder shit than that."

It almost sounds like Fifty Shades of Grey may try to normalize S&M while introducing it to the masses. The R rating means that the material won’t be tame. Heck, the trailer for the movie was pretty damn sexy.

We’ll see what survives the cut when Fifty Shades of Grey opens on February 13. Will you keep your eyes peeled for the bag of grapes?
