Where Is The Tomorrow War Streaming?
In an alternate reality in which Covid-19 never happened, you might have already seen The Tomorrow War after it was released in movie theaters (under the distribution of Paramount Pictures) on December 25, 2020. On the other hand, if this sci-fi war epic from The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay had not been taken off of Paramount’s release schedule, you would have been forced to wait the better part of a month to see it on the big screen for its second selected date of July 23, 2021.
Instead, audiences will be able to see Chris Pratt as a modern-day family man transported into the future along with other soldiers to save the earth from aliens when the film premieres on Amazon Prime Friday, July 2, 2021. The streaming service reportedly secured the rights to The Tomorrow War for $200 million, which proved to be the magic number in a bidding war against other known platforms such as Apple TV and Netflix… Stream The Tomorrow War on Amazon Prime Friday, July 2, 2021.
Will The Tomorrow War Be On Netflix?
As previously mentioned, Netflix was outbid for distribution rights of The Tomorrow War. Therefore, the streaming giant will not have the sci-fi flick in its library any time soon and it will remain an Amazon Prime exclusive, presumably until it is released on Blu-ray and DVD (which has not been confirmed yet).
Of course, there are similar films and TV shows you can find on Netflix, such as Zack Snyder’s recent return to the zombie genre with Army of the Dead, the 2018 hit apocalyptic drama Bird Box, or even a more grounded action thrill ride like Extraction - starring Chris Pratt’s buddy from the Marvel movies, Chris Hemsworth. Plus, lookout for members of the Tomorrow War cast in more exclusive content, such as Sam Richardson in the sketch comedy series I Think You Should Leave or Yvonne Strahovski in the fact-based limited series Stateless.
