The Cord Cutter Podcast #16: Streaming King
Welcome to the sixteenth edition of The Cord Cutter Podcast! Our latest episode is all about the adapted works of horror master Stephen King. Mick, Adrienne and guest Mike Reyes will talk about everything currently available to stream that's based on one of the author's many, many literary works. With Halloween right around the corner, we knew it would be a disservice if we didn't let our cord cutting fans know where they could stream some of the films and TV shows that have come to us over the years courtesy of the brilliant (and, possibly, brilliantly disturbed) mind of writer Stephen King.
We seem to be living in another golden age where adaptations of King's works are concerned. In just the past few years we've been treated to 11.22.63 on Hulu, The Dark Tower, IT, The Mist on Spike, Under the Dome on CBS and Mr. Mercedes on Audience Network. And that's not to mention the planned adaptations Castle Rock, The Stand, Sleeping Beauties, Salem's Lot, The Dark Tower television series and at least five films that are currently in development. After we talk about all of your streaming options for indulging in King's creepy world, we'll get into a full discussion of the latest movie to come from a Stephen King story: the Netflix Original film Gerald's Game. Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
