Game of Thrones' Kit Harington And Rose Leslie Are Finally Married

Kit Harington Rose Leslie Game of Thrones

For once, a Game of Thrones wedding wasn't met with bloodshed. Indeed, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie -- best known for playing Jon Snow and Ygritte respectively on the acclaimed, immensely popular HBO series -- are finally married away from the winds of winter, and it was a gorgeous ceremony, by all accounts. Joined by some other Game of Thrones regulars, along with a few other recognizable faces, it was truly a star-studded event. Here's what we know about the acting couple's nuptials ceremony, found away from the vivid creations of George R. R. Martin's imagination.

On Saturday, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie tied the knot at the Kirkton of Rayne church in Scotland. Seen at, or near, the ceremony were Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, as well as Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Richard Madden. As noted by People, the ceremony then continued at Leslie's family castle, concluding a wonderful and lavish weekend ceremony for Kit Hartington and Rose Leslie, who were first rumored to be dating starting in 2012.

Their relationship mirrored the one they shared on Game of Thrones, with the relationship coming into bloom just as the show itself was growing in popularity. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie were truly falling in love with each other during the production of Season 2, which Harington considers his favorite season to work on. The celebrity couple was separated for a spell, but Kit and Rose officially confirmed their relationship status in the spring of 2016, when they were seen together on the red carpet at the Olivier Awards in London. They were engaged in September of 2017.

The couple didn't shy away from their association to their beloved show when it came time to send their wedding invitations, with Game of Thrones stamps adorning their private invitations. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie share a loving, winking relationship together, by many accounts, and it's clear the TV actors are still blooming in love after finally tying the knot. Many congratulations to the happy couple on their beautiful wedding ceremony!

Meanwhile, we still have time to wait until Game of Thrones season 8 airs on HBO. The final season of the groundbreaking television event series arrives in 2019, on an undisclosed date. The production schedule began in October of last year, and they are still putting together the show as of this writing, which likely explains why Kit Harington had his Game of Thrones look during the wedding (but don't expect him to keep that look for long, though). Details on the newest season are obviously slim at the moment, and there's no way the station is going to let spoilers air out freely. Meanwhile, Kit Harington is reportedly nervous about living up to the high expectations of the beloved series, although it's evident that many, many people will watch the final moments in this adored medieval fantasy universe.

In the meantime, however, we wish Kit Harington and Rose Leslie many blessings on their new adventure together, away from A Song of Ice And Fire.
