Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Have Reportedly Settled Their Divorce
There had been a lull in the divorce proceedings for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner over the past few years. Even though the celebrity couple announced their separation back in 2015 and filed for divorce in April 2017, Garner had reportedly been hesitant about filling in the final pages of her divorce settlement, opting instead to take the time to make sure Affleck's health, sobriety and personal affairs were in order before officially calling it quits in the legal books. The Batman actor recently went to rehab to assure his soon-to-be ex-wife that he is focused on his recovery. Sure enough, it now looks as if the end could be near. According to those close to the actors, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have reportedly reached a divorce settlement, but they'll wait until Affleck exits rehab to file it into court.
Here's what we've heard about the latest development in Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's divorce. As it was reported by E! News, the separating couple has remained friendly and agreeable through the divorce settlement, reportedly trying to figure out the best way to alleviate the burden of the divorce on their three children: Violet (12), Seraphina (9), and Samuel (6). When photos of Ben Affleck showed the actor receiving a bulk order of beer and liquor to his house, Garner allegedly confronted Affleck about his drinking and requested get help from his addiction. Affleck was reportedly agreeable to the rehab stint he is currently serving for an indefinite amount of time, although he is expected to be there for at least 30 days. This is his third rehab stint, after previously entering rehab in 2001 and December of last year.
While it was previously believed that Ben Affleck was on the road to recovery prior to his rehab stint, as he was reportedly seen attending AA meetings, it appears that he is still battling his addictions and that's reportedly the main concern for Affleck and Jennifer Garner as they put together the final touches on the divorce plans. If the reports are true, it's understandable that Affleck might need some extra help -- especially if the couple is thinking about custody details regarding how to divvy up the time spent with each respective parent. Nevertheless, Garner and Affleck are looking to get divorced soon, and since Affleck has been connected with other women, it's probably about time.
Professionally, meanwhile, Jennifer Garner was last seen in Love, Simon. She'll next be seen in the action-drama Peppermint, which arrives in theaters on September 7th. Garner is also the lead in the upcoming HBO dramedy series, Camping, which returns the Alias actress to the world of television. She also lends her voice to the upcoming animated feature Wonder Park, which is set to be released next year. Ben Affleck, meanwhile, was last seen in Justice League last November, and he recently filmed roles in Triple Frontier and The Last Thing He Wanted, both of which are expected to be released next year. Of course, at the moment, the actor and Oscar-winning producer is more focused on his health than his professional commitments.
