Jennifer Lawrence Spent Christmas Eve Visiting Children At A Kentucky Hospital
Nobody wants to spend Christmas inside a hospital. Especially not young children. But it's an unfortunate reality for many youngsters around the world. When they should be waking up in their beds with the eager enthusiasm of discovering what Santa Claus left them under the Christmas tree, they spend the winter holiday under sterile white bedsheets with IVs strapped to their arms. Thankfully, there are people who are willing to give up their time to make others feel a little better. That includes Jennifer Lawrence. This Christmas, she was in a Kentucky hospital once again, warming children's hearts.
As it was noted by WDRB News, Jennifer Lawrence made her way to Norton Children's Hospital on Christmas Eve to celebrate the holidays with the staff and children located inside the medical care facility. And it's apparent from the first photo found above that she was moved by this particular visit.
Jennifer Lawrence made a point of visiting with everyone in the children's hospital, including the families of the patients, as seen in the photos below.
Furthermore, Jennifer Lawrence also made a special point to visit the infants who were found in the hospital on Christmas, as seen in the photo below.
It should be noted that Jennifer Lawrence makes this Christmas hospital visit annually. Louisville, Kentucky is the Red Sparrow actress' hometown, and J Law always makes a point of visiting and bringing holiday cheer and good tidings to these poor children stuck in hospital beds on Christmas Day. It is a noble and very worthwhile deed, and it's also something that clearly brings Lawrence a great amount of satisfaction: the chance to help others feel better during the holidays. Christmas is all about making others feel merriness, and Lawrence seems happy to provide that to these children in the hospital.
It's not known exactly how many times Jennifer Lawrence has made her annual trip to the children's hospital in Kentucky, but it's believed to be her sixth visit. Additionally, in 2016, she donated $2 million to the hospital, which helped establish the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, which helps care for young children with heart conditions. It's clear that she cares very deeply about the safety and well-being of these kids.
As someone who had a family member in the hospital this Christmas, I can attest that it's not fun to be in the hospital during the holidays. That's what makes Jennifer Lawrence's annual visit so fulfilling and worthwhile, especially when it seems that she does it from the goodness of her heart. Based on the number of visits she has had inside the hospital over the years, it's clear that she wants to use her fame and celebrity for good during the holidays.
