Britney Spears And Planet Hollywood Will Team Up For Vegas Show

Rumors of a Britney Spears Las Vegas residency began swirling about five minutes after she announced she wouldn’t return to X Factor. Over the past month or so, the whispers noticeably died down, but apparently, the lack of buzz wasn’t a sign that negotiations had slowed. In fact, the two sides are finalizing a deal right now.

Earlier today, Caesar’s Entertainment Group released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter officially confirming its executives are currently negotiating with Spears to bring her to Vegas. If they’re to be believed, the back-and-forth is still ongoing, but if Extra is to be believed, the deal is actually already done for the prime spot at Planet Hollywood. Either way, it’s likely Spears will be announced as the newest Las Vegas attraction within a week. The only question is what the specifics will be.

Some Las Vegas shows go on every night. Some perform multiple times a night, and some only go on a few days a week. It’s highly unlikely Spears will perform every night of the week, but there is some question as to whether she’ll perform three nights a week, five nights a week or some other number of times. In addition, it will be interesting to see how large her venue will be and what the actual monetary figures are like. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they approached $100 million a year.

We’ll keep you updated. Until then, don’t book your Spears plans in Vegas until they actually announce a schedule.
