Nicki Minaj Mocks Mariah Carey On Twitter, Calls Her Insecure

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj got into it pretty good last night on American Idol. At one point, the former let the audience know the latter has never had a #1 single on the Billboard Charts, and the latter told the former to get the cotton balls out of her ears. The exchanges fell short of crossing any real line, but the same cannot be said for a rant Minaj just delivered on Twitter.

The tweets in question were partially directed toward Perez Hilton in response to this article he wrote saying Nicki totally got burned and partially just directed out to her sixteen million plus followers. Here are a few of the more aggressive tweets

It’s been an extremely emotional few weeks for Carey. As referenced by Minaj, she was bombarded with rumors that producers tried to replace her with Jennifer Lopez. Then, the singer rented out Disneyland and renewed her vows with husband Nick Cannon in a beautiful ceremony. Now, there’s this fire for her to put out. I can’t imagine what her mental state must be like, but considering she’s making almost twenty million, I would say those headaches are worth it.

With ratings at all-time lows, manufacturing drama certainly wouldn’t be the worst decision Minaj and Carey have ever made. That being said, it seems like this animosity is actually genuine. We’ll keep you updated if anyone involved says anything else. Until then, feel free to mentally imagine how awkward tonight’s judges table will be.
