The Voice Is Bringing A Former Judge Back For Season 14

Alicia Keys The Voice

NBC's hit singing competition show, The Voice, is still underway and currently airing its thirteenth season. The show is known for its almost constant rotating panel of judges, with artists Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Hudson, and Miley Cyrus having sat in the big red chairs at one point or another. Season 14 of the show will see the return of a favorite from previous seasons: Alicia Keys! Hot off a very successful new album release, Keys will return as a coach for an all-new season of The Voice.

Alicia Keys returns to The Voice as a coach for her third time on the singing competition series. Keys comes back as a champion, having coached Chris Blue all the way to the top and winning The Voice back when she last coached on Season 12. The hit artist will be joined by The Voice mainstays Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. The three veteran coaches will also be joined by Kelly Clarkson, who will be making her debut on the show.

After coaching for two seasons, Alicia Keys left The Voice in Season 12 to focus on her music. In 2016 she released her critically acclaimed fifth album Here, which was a chart-topper including No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Alicia Keys has won 15 Grammys over the course of her career thus far, including 11 Billboard Music Awards, five American Music Awards, three World Music Awards, three BET Awards, and 14 NAACP Image Awards.

Alicia Keys will be returning to the show while The Voice is as hot as ever. So far this fall, The Voice has averaged a 3.3 rating in its Monday and Tuesday timeslot, drawing in 13.2 million viewers overall. Last week, The Voice came in as the No. 3 most watched show, falling in behind juggernauts like This Is Us and The Big Bang Theory. So, The Voice is still performing as well as ever.

You can watch the Kelly Clarkson and the rest of the coaches herald the coming of Alicia Keys as the fourth coach for Season 14 in the video below.

It's still a while to go until Season 14, but don't fret because there's still plenty of Season 13 left to go. You can catch new episodes of The Voice when it airs on NBC at 8 p.m ET on Mondays and Tuesdays.
