Going by the tweet, it is safe to say that Sandra Oh has Ellen Pompeo's Emmy vote for Lead Actress in a Drama. The pair's camaraderie is so nice, and it is always beautiful to see someone supporting another. The duo's on-screen friendship as Cristina and Meredith had been one of the cornerstones of the series, as Cristina and Meredith are both each other's "person." Both actresses found success as original cast members on the medical drama.

For her part, Sandra Oh received five Primetime Emmy nominations in the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category for performance as Dr. Cristina Yang. Despite the bevy of nominations, she did not win, which is a streak that may be broken this year. Oh's 2018 Primetime Emmy Nomination comes nearly a decade after she was last nominated for her work on Grey's Anatomy. Her 2018 nod also marks Sandra Oh's sixth Primetime Emmy nomination, overall.

In an affirming sign that should help fortify the confidence of Emmy spectators, Ellen Pompeo seems pretty confident that her friend Sandra Oh will succeed in winning the Lead Drama Actress Emmy. Pompeo also joins a legion of fans and critics hoping to hear Oh give an acceptance speech in a couple months time. Before the nominations were announced, Sandra Oh was considered a front-runner to be nominated and after months of speculation, that aspiration has come to fruition.

Since hitting the publicity trail to dish on Killing Eve, Sandra Oh has credited Grey's Anatomy with helping her land her role on the buzzy BBC America thriller. As for those hoping that Ellen Pompeo and Oh will reunite as Meredith and Cristina, that is unlikely to occur any time soon. Sandra Oh recently shared that she is not interested in returning to Grey's Anatomy. Of course, time could change that. For now, Sandra Oh is focused on her acclaimed performance on the crime drama.

Find out if Sandra Oh wins the Emmy for Killing Eve when the 2018 Primetime Emmy Awards air on NBC, September 17. Killing Eve is expected to make its second season debut on BBC America in 2019. Grey's Anatomy returns for its fifteenth season this fall on ABC. For television shows set to arrive this summer, check out CinemaBlend's guide to TV's summer premieres.
