Hallmark will be heading into Christmas full tilt. It is safe to say there should be no shortage of new content when the holiday season arrives. When you sit down for the network’s slate of originals, you will have a record number of movies to watch.

That is because the network will not be putting out 20 or 30 new movies. Think even higher! Hallmark will be releasing 40 new Christmas films this year. That’s right! The network will best its 2018 record of thirty-eight new movies by two for a rounded off total of 40, per EW.

It's the gift that truly keeps on giving, in this Hallmark enthusiast’s unbiased opinion. For the past few years, Hallmark has broken each year’s previous record-setting number of Christmas originals. This year will be no exception.

There is something you need to keep in mind, though. Not all of the new movies will arrive on Hallmark Channel. Twenty-four of them will bow on that destination. The remaining sweet sixteen will premiere on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. That will be important to remember when you are trying to find the other films.

This year is going to be an exciting one for fans of the holiday franchise. Among the new offerings will be two new Hanukkah movies. There will also be a new movie starring Kristin Chenoweth and Scott Wolf titled The Christmas Song.

Also, on the list is Holiday for Heroes starring Melissa Claire Egan and Marc Blucas. That one is slated to debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries in November, per EW. Another original headed fans' way will be executive produced by The Voice’s Blake Shelton.

Last year, he executive produced Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas. Given it was one of the year’s personal standouts, Blake Shelton getting behind another movie is exciting news. As the hot spot to find your favorite television stars during the holidays, Hallmark is offering tons of opportunities to watch them.

Vampire Diaries fans can count on seeing Legacies’ Matt Davis in his first Hallmark Christmas movie. The actor will make his holiday debut in one of the 40 new films. The cute storyline finds his character hiring an interior designer for a near-impossible task.

As you can tell, there will be a lot of movies to look forward to later this year. As a fan of the network’s offerings in general, news of two more Christmas movies is exciting. You can never really have too many holiday Hallmark movies. They have what viewers need when it comes to lifting holiday spirits.

Be sure to tune in to Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries when the holiday rush begins later this year. You can check out your first new Christmas movie during Hallmark’s mid-year event, Keepsake Christmas, which airs during July.
