Bachelorette Spoilers: Hannah And Her Problematic Fiance Just Had A Major Setback

Bachelorette Hannah flips bird middle finger at Luke P in ABC promo

MAJOR SPOILERS ahead from Bachelorette Hannah Brown's 2019 Season 15 and its alleged aftermath.

The Bachelorette Hannah Brown's journey to love is NOT staying in its lane. It just took a sharp turn off the road in the past week. Reality Steve first updated that Hannah had ended her engagement to Jed Wyatt. He said they were still "together" at the time, but things weren't that rosy. However, he updated again in his July 2 column that Hannah completely broke up with Jed. Not only that, he said the breakup was filmed in L.A. and will see it during part 2 of the Bachelorette "After the Final Rose" special on July 30.

This wouldn't be the first time a Bachelor/ette couple had major issues while the show was airing, and it has yet to end well for any one of those couples, but more on that in a minute.

Right up until last week, The Bachelorette 2019 seemed to be on track for a great love story between Hannah B. and Tyler C. That was the first spoiler from Reality Steve. Last week, updated spoilers came out that Hannah was not engaged to Tyler Cameron and that she had instead picked Jed Wyatt, who was previously said to be her runner-up.

The unfortunate timing of that spoiler update came alongside reports out of People, E!, and Us Weekly from Jed's alleged ex-girlfriend claiming they were in a relationship right before he went on The Bachelorette, and now he has ghosted her. Remember, Jed already confessed to Hannah that he only went on The Bachelorette to promote his music career, and he just happened to fall for her anyway. However, Jed's ex claims they were still together right up until he left, and she says he said the show would make them stronger. She shared messages he had sent her.

10 Controversial Bachelorette And Bachelor Stars Who Were Picked In The End

Jed and his ex were only said to have been dating four months, but The Bachelorette only films for two months total, with Hannah dating other guys alongside Jed. Plus, The Bachelorette Season 15 premiere made a big production out of Hannah kicking out Scott for having a girlfriend back home. She even addressed the rest of the guys in the house to ask if they had someone back home too. We didn't hear Jed pipe up.

While the Jed stuff was playing out in headlines, we saw more of Jed playing his music on the show. Also, we saw more of The Luke P Show, and saw Hannah getting up close and personal with a lot of her guys. She's taken a lot of heat from fans (and Luke P) for her decisions, and she recently defended herself in an emotional Instagram post.

That post was quickly followed by Reality Steve's update on June 27 about Bachelorette Hannah and Jed's relationship status:

I can confirm that Hannah broke off her engagement to Jed earlier this week. They are still 'together,' but the engagement is off. This isn't a 'don't ever talk to me again' from what I'm being told, but it's also not all rainbows and daffodils either...

Steve updated July 2 with this intel on the full Hannah/Jed breakup:

There is an even further update ... Hannah and Jed are done completely. She’s broken off the relationship altogether. She’s not trying or hoping for it to work out. They are done. And I can also report, their breakup was filmed in LA on camera and we will see that during part 2 of the ATFR airing on July 30th.

It's already strange that The Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants get engaged after such a short time, and that time split between dating two dozen other people. Bachelor Colton Underwood's current non-fiancée Cassie Randolph was right to question that aspect of the show. Here's what Steve had written after Hannah broke off her engagement but hadn't quite dumped Jed yet:

Knowing that for the next month, so many people will be tweeting at Hannah to get rid of Jed, they're so happy she ended the engagement, go back to Tyler, etc. my guess is this relationship will be over sooner rather than later. To end an engagement means Hannah has been bothered enough by what's come out. I don't see how Jed gets back in her good graces after this. Nor should he. This is something she will be, and should be, applauded for, & I just don't see them working thru this.

Now we know, if Steve is correct, that Hannah did end the relationship. Some Bachelorette fans are going to hope that this means Hannah pulls a Jason/Arie and starts a relationship with Tyler C., while others are still hoping Tyler C. becomes the 2020 Bachelor. Steve continued tweeting on that note:

With that said, I know you will all ask me about Tyler, and will she get back with him, and are they together, have they talked, etc. I don't know. Who knows if Tyler would even want that. Maybe he'd rather be the Bachelor? I'm not gonna answer for him.

I feel for Hannah. This is not how you want to find love.

Bachelorette Jed on a date with Hannah 2019 ABC

It reminds me of Bachelor Brad and Emily, and Bachelor Ben and Courtney breaking up during filming, and then getting back together and talking about it on "After the Final Rose." Those couples did not last, and usually when there are problems this early, the couple does not make it.

Bachelor And Bachelorette Couples: Who Actually Got A Happy Ending?

With those aforementioned couples, a lot of drama was tied to what aired on the show. Ben was shocked by what he saw about Courtney, and the negative reaction to her from The Bachelor fans. Emily was not happy to see how close Brad got to some of his bachelorettes, even saying if she were Brad she would've picked runner-up Chantal since they had such a close connection; Brad and Emily also had lifestyle differences that were an even more major issue.

Since The Bachelorette 2019 spoilers have already changed once, we should try to keep an open mind on what happens. I'd like to see Hannah Beast have a happy ending, but I can't really see that with Jed or Luke P. I could be wrong, though. If the original spoilers were right and she picked Tyler C. ... well, then I'd have trouble believing that she ended the engagement. Even Reality Steve said he hasn't heard anyone come forward with anything negative to say about Tyler C.

The Bachelorette Season 15 is winding down, but still airing Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC. The Luke P Show continued with that intense fight with Garrett, and then we have hometowns, overnight date drama, the Men Tell All, and the finale. Then Bachelor in Paradise will arrive to hopefully give us a different kind of drama, and maybe more engagements (that last).

Gina Carbone

Gina grew up in Massachusetts and California in her own version of The Parent Trap. She went to three different middle schools, four high schools, and three universities -- including half a year in Perth, Western Australia. She currently lives in a small town in Maine, the kind Stephen King regularly sets terrible things in, so this may be the last you hear from her.
