Among the cast members taking to social media to commemorate the occasion of wrapping Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was original star Clark Gregg. Here is what the fan-favorite from the MCU (on both the large and small screens) had to say:

Clark Gregg expressed his love for the people of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which his co-workers probably feel in kind. Clark Gregg was not alone in expressing his sentiments.
Ming-Na Wen, who plays Melinda May, took to Twitter to express her feelings over Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s final day of filming. Having worked on seven seasons and over one-hundred-plus episodes, Wen opened up about arriving at the end. She posted:
Natalia Cordova-Buckley, who plays Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., went on Instagram to share her thoughts on wrapping the series. Meanwhile, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. co-creator Jed Whedon posted his wrap-up tribute to share his gratitude for those behind-the-scenes and the fans of the show. Here is Whedon’s post:
As previously announced, Marvel’s superhero drama will end with Season 7, making its currently-airing sixth season the show's penultimate outing. The Marvel series had already gotten renewed for Season 7 well-ahead of Season 6’s premiere. Shortly after news of the series ending came the word of the series finale having already wrapped.
Fans will have to stay tuned to learn if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. does end up bringing on those Agent Carter characters. As for Clark Gregg, the Marvel vet has opened up about whether he could return to the MCU. The penultimate season has not been without its share of excitement.
There was that terrifying Simmons twist, which revealed a darker side of the character. Clark Gregg compared Season 6 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to Game of Thrones for a reason.
The two-hour Season 6 finale of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Friday, August 2 starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Season 7 will premiere in summer 2020. You can currently stream previous seasons of the superhero drama on Netflix, along with other premieres. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was one of this summer’s premieres, of which there are still many.
