Big Brother Vets Swaggy C And Bayleigh Called Out Mike Boogie Over Problematic Rant

Swaggy C Big Brother

As Big Brother Season 22 speculation continues to make rounds on the web, former players are up on social media and churning out their thoughts on the casting rumors and giving their thoughts on who should and shouldn't be included in the rumored all-star season. The latter has gotten former Season 2 competitor and the first Big Brother All-Stars winner Mike "Boogie" Malin in some hot water, as the internet took notice of some problematic statements he made regarding Chris "Swaggy C" Williams and Bayleigh Dayton.

The comments came during a conversation on Johnny Fairplay's podcast Survivor NSFW, in which Mike Boogie shared his thoughts on the idea of Big Brother 20's Tyler Crispen and Angela Rummans appearing in Season 22. Mike talked about how he thought the two would be an interesting selection for the potential all-star season due to their social media presence, and perhaps unnecessarily compared them to Season 20's other power couple, Swaggy C and Bayleigh, in a rude manner.

They've [Tyler and Angela] done a good job in today's world of the couple doing the social media. They're like what the two African-Americans are trying to be. What are their names? Bayleigh and, Chris right. They're trying to do this whole Jay-Z and Beyoncé thing but without the talent and without any good performance on their season.

Mike Boogie's comments gained immediate traction on the internet, and raised questions about whether the comments were racist. Some took issue with the fact he first referred to them as "the African-Americans," and one may wonder why the "Jay-Z and Beyoncé" comment wasn't used when talking about the white couple Tyler and Angela. Swaggy saw the video, and seemed to think there's some racist commentary from Mike Boogie judging from his response.

Bayleigh also jumped in the fray and added the context that it was weird Mike Boogie forgot their names in that statement considering he had only just talked about one of them recently elsewhere.

It's worth noting that this is not the first controversy Mike Boogie has generated the past couple weeks. Mike was criticized for seemingly belittling the Black Lives Matter movement in Cameo videos (via InTouch) just days ago, and was arrested for making several threats at the family of one of his former Big Brother friends, Dr. Will (via The Blast). Mike is to appear in court for the threats towards Dr. Will and his family in July.

Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl on whether Bayleigh and Swaggy C are involved in Season 22 of Big Brother. Rumored cast lists have claimed the two are, and this recent tweet from Bayleigh makes the answer as up in the air as it has ever been.

Bayleigh said she and Swaggy are hustling to disappear with wealth, but the fact they're hustling could mean they're down to compete in Big Brother Season 22. The two could also be referring to MTV's The Challenge, which they appeared on recently. We won't know for sure until the cast list is revealed, though I'll bet that given his legal troubles and recent statements, Mike Boogie will not return.

Big Brother Season 22 will air on CBS sometime this summer. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more on the upcoming season and drama as it unfolds, and for the latest news happening in television and movies.
