Betty White The Late Late Show With James Corden CBS

Another year has passed, and once again, Betty White's birthday is upon us. The longtime actress turns 99 this year, but that doesn't mean she still can't get a little crazy on her birthday. Yes, even while away in quarantine, White intends to party down for another year on Earth in a special way.

Betty White is going hard for her birthday, or at least as hard as one would expect for someone close to a century old. White spoke to ET about her big day, and what she intends to do now that her original plans were "curtailed" by COVID.

You probably didn't ask, but I’ll tell you anyway. What am I doing for my birthday? Running a mile each morning has been curtailed by COVID, so I am working on getting The Pet Set re-released, and feeding the two ducks who come to visit me every day.

I'm not entirely sure if the whole bit about her running a mile is a joke, but if that's the secret to a long life, I need to get a treadmill and get to running. The series Betty White mentioned, The Pet Set, is a syndicated television show the actress did in the 1970s and was produced by White's late husband, Allen Ludden. The series was hosted by White and featured the actress interacting with other notable celebrities and their interactions with animals. The Pet Set will be rereleased on DVD and streaming platforms on February 23 to commemorate the program's 50th anniversary.

The series showcased Betty White tapping into her lifelong love of animals while also delivering entertainment with other celebrities, so perhaps a new generation of fans will discover the show with its rerelease. Suffice to say, I think those two ducks are going to walk away well-fed on White's birthday, which should be a happy event for all parties involved.

Overall it sounds like quite a full day for the Hollywood legend, who was born in 1922. Betty White got her start in Hollywood in 1939 and has frequently appeared in movies and television since. Her career spans many notable movies and television series, though the one she seems to have the most recognition for in the modern day is Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls. With Rue McClanahan's death back in 2010, White is now the only member of the main cast still living.
