Sean Bean Takes Aim In New Legends Trailer

As we head into the summer season, we're slowly approaching the premiere of Legends, a new crime drama that will put Sean Bean back in the small screen in a starring role. As the new trailer indicates, the truth is up for grabs, but not nearly as easy to grasp as say, a gun.
Executive produced by Howard Gordon, Alexander Cary, Jonathan Levin, Brad Turner and David Wilcox (showrunner), Legends is based on Robert Littell's novel Legends: A Novel of Dissimulation and centers on Sean Bean's Martin Odum, an undercover FBI agent with the ability to transform himself into a different person for each assignment. But he eventually begins to wonder about his own identity when a mysterious stranger suggests that he isn't the man he thinks he is.
The new trailer continues to tease the mystery surrounding this story and Sean Bean's character. And there's also a lot of gun-pointing going on...
And shadowy shooting...
And just straight-up action movie shooting...
Sean Bean doesn't have the best track record with characters who manage to stick around, but hopefully Martin Odum will be a survivor! He certainly seems well armed. In addition to Sean Bean, the cast of Legends includes Ali Larter, Morris Chestnut, Tina Majorino, Steve Harris, Amber Valletta and Mason Cook.

But we have a little while to wait to see Sean Bean's identity crises play out. Legends will premiere Wednesday, August 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET on TNT.

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
