With or without Bungie, Microsoft is moving forward with the Halo warmachine. Today, Microsoft announced at their E3 2011 press conference that Halo 4 will be debuting for the Xbox 360 in the fall of 2012.

The new game in the series puts players back into the shoes of Master Chief as he and Cortana experience a brand new adventure at the very outer edges of space. Well, that’s where the two of them were left after their ship was all damaged and stuff during that big getaway scene at the end of Halo 3.

Well, announcements are nice but announcement trailers are even better. Gamers can get their very first glimpse at the new Halo game below. It’s not much but the teaser is just enough to remind you that Master Chief is anything but dead. Need more info?
