Jenna Does Mainstream

Uber-pornstar Jenna Jameson will try to follow in the footsteps of Traci Lords by making the transition from adult, to mainstream film, according to Moviehole.

She'll do it (no pun intended), in the movie 'Sin-Jyn Smyth', opposite a cast of bottom shelf rental stars like Richard Tyson, Jonathan Davis, Lewis Smith, Kevin Cage, Jeff Conaway, and Reb Brown. Not exactly Oscar contenders here. The movie, which is already in extended production, is the story of two federal marshals in the middle of a Halloween, midnight prisoner transfer. The prisoner, is a mysterious man with no identity, and just because it's Halloween there's a good chance he may be one of the denizens of hell. Deep stuff.

Ok, let's be honest. This is barely mainstream film here. Half the cast has probably made at least part of their money doing soft-core porno themselves. The film is being released by Classic Pictures Inc., a company which ceased to exist in 1952, and whose name has probably been bought up just to give a little startup group some undeserved credibility. Still, this is Jenna, and I guess that makes it sort of newsworthy. I suspect that's probably why they hired her.

There's no word on who Jenna will play in the film, but keep an eye out for her when the film is released, probably straight to video, next summer.
