Making The Han Solo Movie Is Even Scarier Than Game Of Thrones, According To Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke should be pretty good at the spoilers game at this juncture in her career. The actress has been on Game of Thrones since 2011, and while set leaks do occasionally happen on that show, Clarke should pretty much be a pro at deflecting at this point. She's next set to appear in the currently untitled Han Solo movie, opposite Thandie Newton, Donald Glover, Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson and more and while we know she's in the movie, we don't know much else about her gig, and we're unlikely to. In fact, Emilia Clarke recently admitted that Star Wars has made her even warier of spoilers than Game of Thrones.

I genuinely can't tell you anything other than Alden [Ehrenreich] is magnificent, and it's a delight to do something on that level with really cool actors and nice people. But it's even scarier talking about that than Game of Thrones.

Disney has just started really pushing the marketing stuff for Star Wars: The Last Jedi in recent weeks, which means it will be a while before we get any sort of footage for the Han Solo movie, which is set to be the big Star Wars release following Episode 8. We do know a few things about the film, including many of its major cast members, but apparently Star Wars is a pretty tight set to be on. Emilia Clarke's comments are honestly kind-of incredible, considering that Game of Thrones is a show that forced Kit Harington to lie over and over for months to protect a big secret. That show does not want information going out, so for Emilia Clarke to call talking about her work on Star Wars an even scarier prospect really gives you a gauge of how much Star Wars wants to protect its secrets.

Although we may not get to know much about who Emilia Clarke will be playing in the Han Solo prequel film even after she made the above comment to the Independent, we do know some other details about the movie. Disney has let us know about a few of the castings. Alden Ehrenreich has landed the coveted Han Solo role, Donald Glover will play popular character Lando Calrission and Woody Harrelson will play a character named Beckett who is supposed to be a sort of mentor to Han. Probably the best look we've gotten from the movie is probably the big cast shot that the studio released a few months ago.

If you'd like to delve into all the details we know about the upcoming movie, take a look at what we know about the Han Solo film before its 2018 release. In the meantime, you'll be able to catch Emilia Clarke--finally--back on Game of Thrones this summer. Plus, more Star Wars is heading to theaters when Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in December.
