With Black Widow now in theaters, The Marvel Cinematic Universe has officially returned to the big screen. There are a ton of highly anticipated projects coming down the line, each with its own crossover opportunities. This includes Nia DaCosta’s The Marvels, which will feature the return of WandaVision actress Teyonah Parris opposite Brie Larson. And Parris looks like a superhero in a training video ahead of jumping into the Captain Marvel franchise.

Teyonah Parris became an instant fan favorite after debuting in WandaVision as an adult version of Monica Rambeau. We saw her gain superpowers throughout the course of the series, so there’s no telling how she’ll factor into the action of The Marvels. But Parris is getting superhero fit in preparation, as you can see below.

Watch out villains of the MCU, because Teyonah Parris looks ready to kick ass and take names. While there’s no indication of how Monica will factor into The Marvel and if she’ll get her own superhero alter ego, the actress is seemingly getting herself prepared for shooting those grueling action sequences.

The above video comes to us from Teyonah Parris’ personal Instagram account. In it we see the WandaVision star doing a variety of different workouts, all seemingly from the comfort of a home gym. You can certainly see how much effort Parris is putting into this preparation, which should only help buoy anticipation for the mysterious events of The Marvels.

Marvel fans can re-watch both Monica and Carol Danvers’ time in the MCU on Disney+. You can use this link to sign up for the streaming service.

There are a ton of moving parts of the MCU currently, with three movies being released over the next few months, in addition to the myriad projects currently in development or filming. Information about The Marvels is limited, but the cast and crew seem eager to work with Candyman director Nia DaCosta. And rather than a story about merely Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, the upcoming sequel will see her team up with other heroes.

Since Monica is new to her powers, it would definitely be awesome to see Captain Marvel serve as a mentor in The Marvels. We’ll also see those heroes interact with Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel-- who will first debut in her own Disney+ series. Given that Carol Danvers has spent much of her superhero career in the MCU thus far as a solo agent, it should be fascinating to see how she works as a team player and mentor to two less experienced characters.

The Marvels is currently set to arrive in theaters on November 11th, 2022. In the meantime, check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
