The Cord Cutter Podcast #50: Netflix In August

Welcome to the 50th edition of The Cord Cutter Podcast! Prepare yourselves, because Mick, Adrienne and Jeff are about to discuss all the major things coming to Netflix in August. And, as any Netflix fan can attest, that means there's a lot of movies and TV shows for us to go over! August 1 will see a wide variety of already well-known movies and television programs come to the service, along with a ton of Netflix originals in each category. We'll start by going over some of the big name films that will be added in the new month, move on to other recognizable names that deserve a shout out, talk about some of the originals coming soon, and wrap up with the major properties that will actually be getting kicked off in the next few weeks.

August will bring us some beloved fantasy, Oscar-winning drama, a superhero movie of the highest order, a historical drama that blew many people away and the most recent season of a truly original (and truly oddball) TV comedy, among many other things. The Netflix originals are plentiful this month and will give us the second season of a drug trafficking drama, the debut of The Simpson's Matt Groening's new animated laugh fest, as well as a movie that's already stirring up quite a bit of controversy. And, if you want the full list, be sure to check that out right here. Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
