Welcome to The Cord Cutter Podcast #54! The holiday season is finally upon us, and Mick and Adrienne have some great picks for what's coming to Netflix in December, whether you need some Christmas specials to help you enjoy the season or you want to avoid thinking about holiday madness altogether! As usual, Netflix is primed to bring us tons of new content in the coming month, with lots of big name releases, Netflix Originals in the form of TV shows, specials, films and documentaries, and many of other bingeable series and movies. So, we'll go over all the major releases that will be in store for you as the month goes on, just so you know what your options are when you need a break from Christmas shopping, decorating and cookie-baking.

In December, Netflix will be bringing a lot of new content aboard that has nothing to do with the holiday season, so never fear that they'll be nothing new for you if you log on and don't want to think about Christmas. This month, you'll have access to a weird zombie tale that's beloved by many, a cult hit from two lauded filmmakers, at least one animated title that spawned a sequel, a sci-fi film that's one of Mick's favorites in the genre, as well as one of this year's run away big screen hits.

After running down some honorable mentions among the films being added to the streamer in December, we'll go over the best and brightest of the Netflix Originals. This time, they include a third season of a popular cooking competition (which is themed just for the holidays), a live-action re-telling of an animated classic, a new movie from an Oscar-winning director and a brand spanking new comedy special from a legend who hasn't done a stand-up special in over a decade! So, if you want the full list, be sure to check that out right here. Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
