Check Out The Details From Kate Bosworth's Montana Wedding To Michael Polish
Destination weddings are super trendy right now and new bride Kate Bosworth was recently bitten by the travel bug for her big ceremony. The 30-year-old actress recently invited guests to Montana to spend a weekend with her partner Michael Polish, a writer and director. The two were married in Philipsburg, Montana at The Ranch at Rock Creek.
Martha Stewart Weddings was a big part of the big day and graciously shared some of the details about the big event over at the site’s blog. The couple said they wanted to have a modern wedding that incorporated both Victorian and “romantic Western” influences. The Ranch setting certainly helped, and Polish wore a three-piece Brooks Brothers suit, while Bosworth opted to roll with a couture concoction.
For months, Bosworth was rumored to be wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress, and Martha Stewart confirms the bride did wear not one but two dresses from the designer over the course of the evening. Her initial gown was white, with an eight-foot long train—a look that wouldn’t have been fitting for the after party. So, the bride chose to change into a tulle dress featuring embroidery. The gowns sound nearly as picturesque as the bluff the famous couple was married on, which overlooked hills, a stream and more.
It wouldn’t be a celebrity wedding without some celebrity guests, and famous faces like Justified’s Walton Goggins and No Strings Attached actress Lake Bell were both in attendance for the weekend event, which included the beautiful ceremony, supper at a building on the ranch known as the Granite Lodge and dancing at the Silver Dollar Saloon.
Bosworth has been linked to a ton of famous names in the past, including True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard. The two ended their relationship in 2011 and just a few months later, Bosworth was linked to the 42-year-old director for the first time. He eventually proposed in August of 2012, and Bosworth has been busy planning her big four-day wedding event ever since—with the help of Martha Stewart Weddings, of course. You can check out some pictures from the event over at the big site.
Couples across the world put together ceremonies incorporating different traditions and suiting different sorts of personalities. Bosworth and Polish getting married at dusk on top of a mountain is sort of fitting for her seemingly down-to-earth personality, and I’m sure their wedding was an event to remember. Congrats to the happy couple on this extended Labor Day weekend and best of luck to the pair as they move forward as a married entity.
