Legacies finally brought Landon back to the land of the living, but fans could hardly celebrate (or mourn) his return before The CW series gave us another character to worry about. It turns out MG's feelings were pretty hurt by the episode's end, enough that he would want to leave the Salvatore school over it. It'd be a game-changing move for the series if he did leave, but would it actually happen?

To recap the drama with MG, the character was on the outs with his friends after they discovered he deliberately hid the Ascendant from Hope. MG explained to his Legacies friends that he only did it because of the danger in using the device, which would potentially bring back Malivore or some other evil that could kill the students. MG wanted to save Landon, but he'd hoped the team would take the time to find a safe method rather than utilize a tool that's so dangerous.

Of course, no one listened to MG and went about with Hope's plan to enter the Prison World and attempt to save Landon. Even Lizzie, who MG thought he had an ally in, siphoned his powers so that he'd be unable to interfere when it all went down. Ultimately MG was right about using the Ascendant, and Lizzie, Hope, and Josie would've died had Landon not arrived in the eleventh hour and broken their hold on the device.

As far as how Landon returned, it appeared Cleo and Kaleb's monster they summoned helped after the two (plus Alaric) sang him a song and offered him something of Landon's. It wasn't quite the heroic exit from death Landon vowed he'd find on his own, though I guess it's possible he did something on his end. In either case, the point is that MG was alienated by the group, despite Hope's plan being just as reckless as he expected, and it did nothing to bring back Landon.

MG's big speech to Lizzie was concerning to the character, but should Legacies fans be worried? Well, the synopsis for "Do All Malivore Monsters Provide This Level of Emotional Insight?" has a bit of insight about what's in store for next week, and it seems positive for MG fans.

As tensions build between Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) and Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), the latest monster's arrival at the school will force them to set aside their differences in order to defeat it. Meanwhile, Alaric (Matthew Davis) comes up with an excuse to keep tabs on Josie (Kaylee Bryant) at Mystic Falls High, and Cleo (guest star Omono Okojie) helps Kaleb (Chris Lee) cope with a recent fallout with MG (Quincy Fouse).

I would imagine the tension between Hope and Lizzie is about MG, and perhaps how Hope will still attempt to demonize him despite her clearly being in the wrong in her call to use the Ascendant. It also seems Kaleb needs to cope with his fallout with MG, so he must feel bad about the betrayal. Plus, let's be honest, MG was mad, but mad enough to switch schools? I personally don't see that happening, not after all he's been through with his friends.

Plus, a quick search of the internet doesn't yield any rumors or signs that actor Quincy Fouse will leave Legacies. This is likely just the usual melodrama that Legacies throws in to keep things moving. Of course, I don't know that for sure.

Legacies airs on The CW Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. ET. In the hypothetical that MG left the school and didn't return, would you keep watching the show? Sound off in our poll and let us know.
