Antony Starr as Homelander in The Boys.

Season 3 of The Boys has been a long time coming. This upcoming season of the Amazon series is going to be something like fans have never seen before, and even Antony Starr, who portrays Homelander of The Seven, is teasing that fans are going to “gorge-feed” this season.

Antony Starr previewed to TVLine what the upcoming third season will be like. Considering it’s been almost a year since Season 2 and that mind-blowing cliffhanger, viewers have already been waiting a long time to see what happens next. However, the actor promises that fans are going to love it, and more, and that the wait will be worth it:

It’s been a long time between drinks, but the next drink is going to be a good one, I promise. . . . You guys are going to gorge feed on this sucker, and the payoff is going to be worth the wait!

Antony Starr seems confident that fans are going to love the third season, and it’s not hard to see why. Jensen Ackles is going to make his highly-anticipated debut as Soldier Boy, and there are a few storylines worth mentioning that have been teased multiple times, like “Herogasm,” The Boys is turning things up a notch. Starr went on to explain why Season 3 is his favorite and how fans will react when the season finally drops:

[Season 3] is my favorite season for many reasons that I can’t tell you about. I’m always curious to see what the writers, what these crazy people, are going to cook up, and it’s a pretty great feeling in Season 3 to still be surprised and excited every time you turn a page in the material. All I can say is I truly believe the fans are going to freak out at Season 3.

The third season of the Amazon superhero series has been getting teased for quite some time now. The cast has been posting behind-the-scenes photos, creator Eric Kripke has been sharing some fun (and oftentimes worrisome) storylines he has planned for the new season, and with the direction the series is going, I believe Antony Starr when he says that fans are going to freak out. The show has been known to go the extra mile and even a tad overboard when it comes to the humor and raunchiness, so I wouldn’t expect anything less.

It’s currently unknown when The Boys Season 3 will premiere, but it’s possible that the series could have a fall 2021 date to match with the Season 2 release, which was fall 2020. Hopefully, we’ll get a release date soon, but the wait for Season 3 will likely be worth it, especially after the way Antony Starr is teasing it.
