The Destiny 2 beta is prepping to get underway starting next Tuesday, and tons of gamers can't wait to get their hands on it. The only thing is that Bungie recently released a blog post and it appears the Destiny 2 beta already has a list of known issues.

In the blog post, Bungie runs through a preface of what to expect from the beta on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. After going over the steps to sign-in as well as report feedback to the team, there's a section where it outlines some of the known issues in the preview build of the beta.

For instance, there is a big 'ole heads-up about possibly running into various networking error codes when attempting to play the beta. It's mentioned that throughout the beta Bungie will be monitoring and tweaking the server for stability in order to get the most out of the beta and gather a lot of data about the network performance. This is usually typical in most beta tests as companies stress test servers and attempt to make sure that everything works right proper on launch. In the case of Destiny 2, expect server hiccups as Bungie takes note and ensures that those kind of server errors aren't widely prevalent at launch.

Other issues that you can expect to encounter during the beta include location names sometimes not appearing during the Crucible gameplay matches. It's mentioned that some players may be kicked to orbit after witnessing a black screen when the countdown is happening for a match. At least a black screen and being kicked to orbit sounds like a far better experience than a blue screen of death, am I right?

When joining a Strike in progress some players may be placed at the beginning of the Inverted Spire Strike Activity as opposed to joining where the other players are during the course of the Strike activity.

There are some sandbox balancing issues, which are to be expected. This includes some weapons and abilities having higher or lower damage than what Bungie intended for them. The first thing that came to mind were the glitchy weapons in Borderlands.

For those who don't speak or read English, not all of the other supported languages will be present in the beta due to a lack of localization for those languages. This will obviously be addressed by the time Destiny 2 is ready to launch this September.

And, of course, the blog post suggests that if you encounter any major networking issues during your play-time in the beta for the game, to check out the help forums and troubleshooting guides available on the site.

The Destiny 2 beta will get underway on July 18th next week and will run through July 20th for the PS4. Xbox One owners will be able to play the beta between July 19th and July 20th. If you miss out on any of the initial beta tests, there's going to be an open-beta access period between July 21st and July 23rd. At the end of July 23rd the beta will conclude for all platforms.
