The Hardy Boys have finally solved the GTA IV DLC Release Date Mystery. Unfortunately, yes, it's coming in 2009. The new content, entitled The Lost and Damned, is due on February 17th.
The DLC, surprisingly, doesn't star Niko Bellic. Instead you'll be playing as Johnny Klebitz, a member of the Liberty City biker gang The Lost. They were encountered in a couple missions of GTA IV if memory serves but didn't have that big of a presence overall. Niko will still make a brief appearance in the DLC so your craving for Eastern European accents shall be sated.
"The [DLC's] story is not directly impacted by decisions you took in the main game," said Rockstar VP Dan Houser to USA Today. However, he adds that "tons of details and mysteries from the main story get explained, so it will add a lot of color to the main story."
The DLC is still an exclusive for the 360 version. No price was revealed but given that the expansion should add several gameplay hours, $15 or more wouldn't be surprising.
