Peter Parker And Gwen Stacy Come Home In Photos From Spider-Man's New York Shoot![]()
Though Spider-Man's home is and always will be New York City, the production team of the new film The Amazing Spider-Man decided to work mostly in Los Angeles, something I think every geeky New Yorker will secretly resent for a long time to come. But finally Spidey came home over the weekend, as the crew set up shop in midtown Manhattan to shoot a few scenes with Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. The impressive Hearst Building at 57th Street was renamed Oscorp-- the company founded by "Green Goblin" Norman Osborn, of course-- and Peter Parker went inside it, skateboard in hand. Why is Oscorp in the movie when Green Goblin isn't (as far as we know) a villain? That's up for you guys to speculate in the comments.
Splash News snagged the photo of Andrew Garfield that you see below (there's more where that came from if you click through), and the shot of Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy hopping into a police car comes from Celebrity-Gossip.net. A SuperHero Hype reader also snagged some video of the building exterior and the hubbub outside, which you can see over there. It's not really much new to see, especially after getting a gander at set photos of Garfield in full Spidey costume, but New York loyalists can probably be relieved to see Peter Parker come home at least for a little while. ![]() ![]() |
