The movie isn’t even being filmed yet, and they’re already having trouble figuring out what to call Stallone’s impending Rambo sequel. First it was going to be called Rambo IV: In the Serpent’s Eye, a name which I commented sounded a lot like the title of a Metal Gear Solid game. So does the movie’s plot for that matter. Then they went with Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra, a name which, impossibly, sounds even more like the latest Solid Snake adventure.

Well they’ve wised up. Throw out both of those titles. Our friends over at Moviehole caught Sly in an interview where he dropped the news that the film will take a page from the most recent Rocky movie and simply go with John Rambo as it’s identifier.

Ok it’s not particularly creative but at least, unlike the two previous titles, it doesn’t sound like somebody’s idea of a joke. John Rambo it is.
