Are The Wonder Twins Getting A Movie?

Last spring Iron Man held dominion over the box office. Then the summer brought Man of Steel, and currently Thor and his devious brother Loki are conquering box offices worldwide. With DC and Marvel racing to spin just about every character in their canons into a live-action blockbuster, is it possible Hanna Barbera's Wonder Twins will be the next superhero team to take on a theatrical release?

That is exactly what this poster would have you believe. Midtown Comics, an institution for nerds in New York City, received this bizarre bit of swag in the mail, seemingly from Warner Bros studios. But no other information came with it. As you can see, it has two fists--one seemingly female, the other male--bumping with the word "activate" below. This of course was the magic word/gesture combination that allowed Wonder Twins Zan and Jayna to tape into their shapeshifting abilities, a bit of which seems to be hitting one arm already.

Created for the Super Friends TV series, Jayna had the ability to transform into any animal her heart desired, while her brother Zan could become various water things. Sorry, I don't know how to make that sound cool. I mean, check out this clip where they attempt to stop aliens by becoming an octopus and an "ice unicycle." Then explain to me how a modern reboot wouldn't be totally ridiculous.

You might also note that the poster teases "KUNIS" and "KUTCHER," suggesting that former That '70s Show castmates Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher would be playing the super powered siblings in this proposed film project. But is it real? Before you decide, here's a follow-up pic from Midtown Comics featuring the packaging tube the poster came in.

Personally, while these former circus freaks turned superheroes have popped up in DC adventures, I highly doubt the Wonder Twins will get any kind of live-action rebirth. If this isn't a flat-out hoax, it's likely intended as some sort of clever in tie-in to get tongues wagging in anticipation for some other movie venture. But what do you think?

Is this poster for an actual movie?
