Drew Barrymore And Will Kopelman Welcome In Baby Girl Olive

Drew Barrymore’s life has let her interact with a lot of strange people and visit a lot of strange places, but over the past few months, the actress has stepped onto the same path as most women. Back in June, she married art consultant and respectable gentleman Will Kopelman, and last week, she gave birth to the couple’s first child.

If one needs any indication as to how far Drew Barrymore has come, look no further than her ability to sneak a birth past the media for almost an entire week. That’s an impressive feat for any celebrity, let alone one who was a tabloid regular before she was a teenager.

Details are still a little fuzzy about the specifics of the birth, but Barrymore’s publicist did provide some information to E! News. The delivery apparently went down last Wednesday and resulted in the birth of a girl. Drew and Will selected the beautiful name Olive, and by all accounts, both mom and daughter are doing extremely well.

Drew hasn’t announced whether little Olive will be auditioning for roles before her first birthday as she was, but one would imagine she’ll take things a little bit more slowly. As a member of the Barrymore clan, the newborn will no doubt get plenty of opportunities in front of casting directors when she gets older. There’s no reason not to let her have a normal (ish) childhood now.

Pop Blend’s sincerest congratulations go out to Drew and Will. Here’s to hoping they prove to be wonderful parents.
