2K Games and Fireaxis released some new info for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the upcoming isometric strategy game reboot of the famed turn-based strategy game, X-Com. For those of you who pre-order the game you'll receive an Elite Soldier Pack to enhance the overall playing experience.

The pre-order bonus pack is only available for PC gamers (can I get a “woot, woot” from PC gamers?) and is available for $49.99, digitally. Additionally, a special limited pre-order pack is also available at local retailers for $59.99 and it comes jam packed with some extra goodies.

Before we roll out the details on those goodies, be sure to check out some new gameplay from XCOM: Enemy Unknown below, featuring the psionic class as well as some of the abilities of the snipers and assault class.

Man, I'm really, really hoping modders find a way to increase the soldier count from six to at least 20. From the looks of it if you have a guy or gal left you can call in for reinforcements but still, I never really felt safe in any X-Com game unless I had a full squad of soldiers littering the battlefield.

Still, gameplay wise, XCOM looks good and the action looks tight. There's a streamlined feeling to the combat which is a very welcomed change to the typical rules of the genre, and the weapons seem to pack as much of a punch as they look and sound.

Now, let's talk a little bit about those pre-order bonuses. While the bonus pack is only available for PC, don't be surprised if a DLC pack arrives for the Xbox 360 and PS3 once the game releases. You can check out what you get if you pony up the extra bucks to pre-order the limited edition from select retailers. You can learn more about the game by paying a visit to the Official Website.

Elite Soldier Pack Pre-Order Bonus Includes

* Classic X-COM Soldier: Players will instantly receive a new recruit in their barracks inspired by the original X-COM: UFO Defense. The iconic soldier with the blonde, flattop hairstyle will return fully modernized.

* Soldier Deco packs: Players can customize their soldier with several aesthetic upgrades to armor suits, including the new Hyperion and Reaper soldier armor kits.

* Complete color customization: A variety of colors and tints for all armor sets in the game allow players complete control to customize their squad’s look.
