Frictional Games and thechineseroom have decided Halloween is the perfect day to continuing teasing Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs. A new trailer shows off some gameplay and hints at the horrors that await players.

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is billed as an "indirect sequel" to Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It introduces a new storyline and new characters. Players take on the role of Oswald Mandus, an industrialist who wakes up from a coma. His home is now occupied by some mysterious machine and hideous monsters.

The gameplay footage shows the player figuring out puzzles based on the machinery throughout the mansion. Oswald will also need to avoid the creatures now stalking his home. We don't get to see said creatures in this trailer, though.

To make the game even creepier, the development team wants to include screams, whimpers or "shrieks of terror" from players. You can send your sounds of agony as WAV, ogg, or MP3 files to [email protected] The developers will pick the best of the best and use them in Machine.

Machine for Pigs is expected in early 2013.
