Bohemia Interactive has been slipping out tidbits of media and information on the upcoming Arma 3, the visual juggernaut known for having uncompromising amounts of simulation oriented gameplay.

The trailer is a teaser through and through. It only gives you a brief glimpse at some of the new graphical tech that Bohemia Interactive is using to power the latest shooter in the highly respected and long-running franchise. You can check out the video below.

Looking good, eh? The character models are still the dead giveaway that it's just a game, but Bohemia has really taken it a step way out there in terms of capturing near photo-realistic environments and atmospheric ambiance. Very impressive looking stuff.

For those of you who have never played Arma take note that the game is like the complete opposite of Call of Duty, and you do not do a lot of run-and-gunning. You can get wounded; you have to deal with a lot of suppression fire; snipers can pick you off from literally anywhere and using helo support requires the tactical precision of a brain surgeon. In other words, the game is freaking hard but it's also fun because it's hard.

We'll be sure to drop some more info when it becomes available on April 19th. The game will also be on showcase at this year's E3 and you can keep up to date with all things Arma by visiting the Official Website.
