Castle Of Heroes: Free-To-Play Browser RPG Enters Closed Beta

Gala Network’s Castle of Heroes is making progress on the developmental end and it has been announced that the game is now ready to enter the closed beta phase. This browser-based strategy RPG is being designed by Chinese developers, Snail Game, and will feature flash-based visuals with a dash of classic elements from the Might & Magic franchise.

According to the press release…

Castle of Heroes asks players to decide of the fate of their realm in a huge and living fantasy world. Once players have chosen their race from Human, Elf, Orc or Undead, they are put in control of their first Castle. From here, they will have to develop it to gain access to new units, heroes and skills.

The game is fairly similar to IGG’s upcoming Lords Online, which allows players to manage their kingdom and then venture out and acquire resources. The exact same thing can be done in the upcoming Castle of Heroes, where players can venture about and explore the world around their castle, they can also engage other players in intense PvP battles using their armies.

Castle of Heroes is scheduled to go live in December 2009. For more information on the game you can visit the Official Website.
