Cities Of Legend Now Colonizing Facebook

A new game based on the young adult novel Cities of Legends has been released through Facebook. Fans of the novel and bored office workers alike can log in and battle for the remnants of post-apocalyptic America.

Author Marie Lu is getting ready to launch the second book in her “Legend” series, “Prodigy." To re-familiarize readers and gamers alike with this work of warring factions and political struggles, Cities of Legend is bringing the more action heavy portions of the series to Facebook.

Cities of Legend is actually a prequel to the book series, designed in conjunction with Wicked Sweet Games. Lu worked closely with the studio to create the story portions and make sure the game offers a true Legend experience.

A free-to-play title, Cities of Legend allows players to join the Republic or fight alongside the Rebels in a game that mixes puzzles, battle, role-playing and social elements.

At launch, Cities of Legend features 20 real-world locations that have been given a futuristic, war-torn makeover. Players have their pick of 10 characters, five missions and a large selection of power-ups to improve their chances in battle. Wicked Sweet Games also promises future content updates with new characters, locations, power-ups and missions that tease the new novel, “Prodigy,” which releases in January. New community features and social enhancements will also be added in the future.
