The successfully crowd funded project from Kickstarter has a new update showing off the work-in-progress that the team is dealing with at the moment. As you can see, the animations are still very early on and there are a lot of placeholder images. Still, what has been accomplished so far looks like a step in the right direction and gives the impression that this could be the next Bastion.

For old school gamers, this is probably like the spiritual successor to games like Legend of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3 or the original Secret of Mana. The isometric action-RPG mechanics fused with hand-drawn characters is a nice throwback to the classic SNES era of gaming.

As showcased in the video, courtesy of Omnigamer, players will be able to upgrade their skills, unlock new abilities and battle it out against a varied selection of enemy NPCs.

Cryamore is one of many upcoming RPGs that have been successfully funded on Kickstarter, including games like The Banner Saga, HabitRPG and Akaneiro: Demon Hunters.
