Blizzard and Insight Editions have teamed up for an hardcover book called The Art of Blizzard Entertainment, with visuals from all of the developer's major franchises. This 350-page tome of Diablo, StarCraft and WarCraft art will be available by the end of January. However, select fans will have the opportunity to pick it up before its official release date.

The book has over 700 images from the development of Blizzard's games. The image range from paintings to concept art to concepts. Blizzard's VP of art and cinematic development Nick Carpenter, senior art director Sam Didier, and senior VP of story and franchise development Chris Metzen each provide commentary on the art.

Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, California will be hosting a launch party for the book. The gallery will show off 60 pieces of art from the book. They'll also be selling a limited supply of the book. Some of the artists responsible will be on hand for demos and book signings.

The event at Gallery Nucleus will run from January 12th to February 3rd. The opening reception will take place on the 12th and be held from 7pm to 11pm. There's a $5 entrance fee for the exhibition, but you can get in free by wearing a costume.

According to Amazon, the official release date of The Art of Blizzard Entertainment is January 29th. The price is $75.
