Valve has added another playable character to their MOBA game Dota 2. Players can now take on the role of Rigwarl the Bristleback, a melee-oriented hero.
Rigwarl, according to his official backstory, has a history of bar brawls. He was eventually hired as an enforcer for a drinking establishment. His raw strength is his biggest advantage in battle.
He's a hotheaded sort who gets angrier and angrier as the match proceeds. His movement speed and damage increases every time he casts a spell. The quills on his back partially shield him from rear and side damage, and can be used as a projectile. On a more disgusting note, Rigwarl can also shoot snot on an enemy to lower their armor and movement speed.
This new hero was accompanied by a new patch. Valve has introduced a bounty hunter bot to the game as well as two new treasure keys. The full patch notes can be found here.
Dota 2 is a free-to-play game that's currently in beta. If you haven't gotten an invite yet, you can secure access by purchasing the $30 Early Access Pack. This pack also provides several bonus in-game items.
