Game Power 7, a publisher for MMO and online interactive software, has announced that they are taking the fight to the war on drugs. Not only that, but they are using the popular MMO, Arabic Rappelz, to push the point across.
According to the press release, “Arabic Rappelz, an Online MMO Game published by Game Power 7, is holding a 1 week drugs education and awareness event in a bid to discourage the cyber citizens of this virtual world from approaching drugs.”
In addition to advertising the discouragement of drug use without enjoinment, Game Power 7 is seeking to entreat teens, online gamers and the youth of the community to fight the war on drugs by partaking in drug-free events. In particular, special gifts will be handed out to players during the event to promote this human values campaign.
It’s still good to know that Game Power 7 is taking initiative and using an outlet of entertainment to encourage values. It’s almost the complete opposite of what most Governments do: Game Power 7 is actually trying to help people.
