A new video log has been released for the upcoming – and currently in-beta FPS-strategy game – Heroes & Generals. The developer diary covers the restructure for infantry squads and the way that they level up, as well as the new and improved skirmish modes, maps and vehicles implemented into the latest build of the game.

One of the key elements of the update focuses on the way players can pledge allegiance of sorts to a specific infantry squad and level them up for use in a variety of situations. You can amp up guardsmen, assault teams and even the airforce. Each group also has levels, so you'll do more than just ramp up arbitrary numerical statistics. You'll unlock new perks like motorized vehicle squads and more armor to help you out in battle. Check it out below.

The game is coming along quite nicely and the focus on team-based, Brothers in Arms style gameplay really helps set the game apart from all those other free-to-play clones out there.

Reto-Moto recently made the accomplishment of having their game included into Steam's library of games approved via Greenlight. So we'll see how well the game does once it finishes enough of the beta testing to land on the Steam store.

You can sign-up for the beta right now or learn more by simply paying a visit to the game's Official Website.
